Pause & Pray

This is an invitation to pray, a call to pray, and a plea to pray…would you be willing to Pause & Pray every Thursday for Texas campuses, students, and BSM staff?

A Semester of God’s Power:

God has shown his face in powerful ways this entire semester.  From spiritual conversations being initiated, thousands of students hearing the gospel, and Christian students being discipled – God has been good.  But nothing can compare to students coming to know Jesus as their Savior.

Donnie Brown – Wayland University – “I spoke in chapel at the beginning of the school year. I shared the Gospel and at the end of the said if you would like to talk more about having a relationship with Christ, then please text me and had my number on the screen. One of those who text me was Casey*, a student from Columbia who plays on our men’s soccer team. I made an appointment with him and his wife. After a long conversation about how they got to Wayland I was able to share the gospel once again and Casey accepted Christ. His wife was already a believer. Both of them are meeting with me once a week also going to church.”

Joe Luna – TAMU, Kingsville – “There have been five (for sure) possibly six students that have come to Christ this month through this ministry. This is something that has been incredible to witness. The Spirit of God is moving on the campus and the ministry is responding in kind. Two of the students came to Christ at a recent worship service where I was preaching about casting off the things that stand in our way of total abandonment to Christ. Another student came to Christ through counseling with one of our BSM students in their dorm room. Another student came to Christ early on in the semester through worship, that we just found out about this week. And yet another student came to Christ at one of our weekly student-led bible studies.”

David Griffin – SHSU- “This past month, one student who was once a professed atheist has now come to believe in Jesus Christ. This particular student has been attending our Wednesday lunch program for over a year and through that has made friends with quite a few students on the BSM leadership team. These leadership students have continually been intentional with him and have prayed for quite a while that he would eventually come to faith in Christ. And, in the past few weeks, he has now made that decision. Please join me in praying for this young believer’s new walk in Christ.”
